Since the opening of the new JEMI-ASIA office in Singapore over a year ago – designed to provide a rapid response to communications and sales enquiries, backed by technical support and after-sales service – we have established many new distributors who trust in our products and service, and who promote the brand throughout the Southeast Asia and Australasia regions.
We would like to share and highlight our latest project, which has been a remarkable success, promoting JEMI products at one of our most important outlets.
Honestbee is a leading Singapore-based company that operates an online concierge and delivery service, as well as a business-to-business (B2B) parcel delivery service. Customers select their groceries and/or food orders via the company’s mobile app or website. The company provides personal shoppers who select the purchased items, which are then handed over to drivers who subsequently deliver the goods to customers. Since then, Honestbee has established regional offices in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Japan.
In 2018, the company launched a major new and ambitious project, Habitat by Honestbee, in Singapore. This development offers a variety of concepts within a spacious area, featuring selections such as local delicacies, pastries, Asian and Western cuisine, as well as top-quality seafood and meat that customers can choose to have grilled or cooked on the spot, allowing them to enjoy ingredients at their freshest. Customers can also select and purchase a wide range of imported, fresh and packaged products, all available at this unique market. This is made entirely possible by the integration of state-of-the-art technology, through the development of its own app and excellent logistical coordination.
Jemi is proud to be part of this innovative project, which was carried out and successfully implemented by our Singapore-based distributor, KitchenHub Pte Ltd.
In the main kitchen at the rear, a range of standard 750 Series cooking units have been carefully designed and installed to form three cooking lines serving the Western, gourmet and halal sections. The cooking lines are complemented by our gas hobs, grills, deep fryers, pasta cookers and neutral stations.
However, without a doubt, the standout feature is the spectacular bespoke monoblock kitchen, which was built in a record production time of five weeks to meet Honestbee’s required delivery deadline and ensure it was ready in time for the official launch. The bespoke monoblock kitchen is sure to catch the eye of anyone walking through the open-plan kitchen, easily recognisable as the centrepiece of the entire kitchen. It is constructed entirely from 316 and 304 grade stainless steel, with a thickness of 3 mm for greater durability. Notable features include an integrated top rack, perfectly integrated doors and drawers, whilst the brass knobs and handles stand out, offering great robustness and adding an elegant, classic touch. The main components of the kitchen are water-chamber gas burners, a deep-fat fryer and a pasta cooker, all perfectly welded to the worktop, a ‘coup de feu’ and a fry-top griddle with a water channel. Finally, the most striking and unique component amongst the elements that make up this kitchen unit is the pair of Josper Basque grills, which have been seamlessly integrated into the monoblock to transform it into a special and extraordinary piece, at the request of the Executive Chef.
This incredible project with Honestbee complements our ambition to grow and improve by developing innovative and efficient kitchen equipment. Above all, however, the experience and knowledge we have gained are a guarantee of success for our future projects.
